What to prepare for setup

Strong setup data is more important than long setup data. Use current, approved source material and call out anything that should always go to a human.

Business profile: name, website, public description, tone of voice, logo or brand colors.
Services and prices: menus, packages, durations, starting prices, and what needs manual confirmation.
FAQs: common customer questions, eligibility rules, preparation notes, and handoff cases.
Policies: cancellation, rescheduling, deposits, refunds, complaints, privacy-sensitive topics, and escalation rules.
Opening and contact info: hours, locations, phone/email, emergency rules, and preferred handoff contact.
Source materials: website copy, PDFs, menus, screenshots, email templates, and internal notes.

Setup flow before go-live

  1. 1Add source materials so the AI has approved business facts to work from.
  2. 2Review extracted drafts and edit, approve, or reject every item before it affects live behavior.
  3. 3Configure business profile, branding, greeting, handoff contact, and intake fields.
  4. 4Test the public chat and request form with realistic customer scenarios.
  5. 5Approve go-live only after source review and setup checks are complete.

FAQ

How does MintWire relate to AI Receptionist?

MintWire is a customer-operations platform and shared core. AI Receptionist is its first available module and is what you set up and use today. Other customer-operations modules are planned and not yet available, and should not be treated as live.

What is MintWire AI Receptionist?

It is an inbound request layer for service businesses. It answers from your approved business knowledge, collects structured requests, creates leads, and routes uncertain or sensitive cases to a human operator.

What happens after payment?

Checkout submission is not the same as go-live. Stripe payment confirmation is verified by webhook first. After confirmed payment, a draft setup path is prepared and the business still needs source review, profile setup, testing, and go-live approval.

What is included now?

The current product supports website chat, structured request forms, knowledge-base answers, lead capture, handoff rules, the operator inbox, and email intake (manual import into conversations for operator review). Availability is an available module with setup constraints described on pricing.

Which channels are planned but not connected?

Voice AI is coming soon and is not connected. WhatsApp, Telegram, and Instagram DM are planned channels and are not connected. They should not be treated as active customer channels yet.

Why is setup and review required before go-live?

The receptionist can only answer reliably from reviewed source material. Setup review prevents vague, outdated, or conflicting information from becoming live customer-facing behavior.

How do billing and cancellation work during rollout?

Checkout and manual billing can be used during rollout. Authenticated paid workspaces with a verified Stripe customer link can manage payment method, invoices, and cancellation in Stripe Billing Portal if those options are enabled in Stripe settings. Setup support remains the fallback path.

How do I get setup help or support?

Use the demo/setup request form and include the package, business name, and what you need help with. MintWire will follow up through the contact details you provide.
